The Proposal

09.27.2006: It was my 21st birthday on the 17th and Dominic surprised me with the best birthday gift ever. Front row tickets to a New York Yankees game. He had told me in the weeks prior that he was going to take me away and that he would tell me what to pack. So I got a list---Sewing machine, towel, clothes, Yankees Hat, & Sun Block. Once I got my birthday gift I knew where we were going. We got up early and left Vermont at 6 am. We were in NYC at 10:30. So we had the whole day ahead of us. We checked in to our hotel in the Bronx. I was exhausted so I napped before the game. Dominic wanted to walk and I wasn't about to walk in the Bronx--Hell NO! So I made him drive to the stadium. We got a bite to eat and sat in our seats! Amazing Seats! I had to go to the bathroom--He wouldn't let me out of his sight in the city so he walked me up. When we got back to our seats I started talking to the 6 year old boy next to me. I asked him why he loved the Yankees? He told me his dad did. Dominic had put his arm around me and asked me for a kiss.... Once that happened. He asked me if I liked his ring.... He showed me the diamond on his hand.... He asked me if I would marry him? I started to cry and said yes!!! We kissed and the Crowd went wild!!! The Yankees had just hit a home run and were winning! It was amazing! Dominic said they were cheering for us! My ring was beautiful it sparkled!!! Although he told me that I had a choice of rings. The one that he used or the one that he had specially made for me but wouldn't be in for another couple of weeks. He knew he wanted to ask me there so He got a spare from his friend to use. It's nice having a friend in the diamond business. So I Loved the one he had made for me. Its absolutely beautiful! As beautiful as the way he proposed! It was truly a home run!

Our Wedding Day

09.01.2007: It was a beautiful September day in Vermont. Not to cold and not to hot. It was breezy and the sun was shining. Our wedding was held at Memorial Hall. Which is located on Mirror Lake in North Calais. We wanted to keep our wedding small. Dominic would have preferred to elope. I wanted my day in the beautiful white dress. So I tried to keep things fun and laid back. The Ceremony was at 3pm. I was 15 minutes late. My mom and "step" dad drove me in the 1951 Ford classic and I guess it took longer than expected to get there. Once we arrived everyone was seated and people were waving. We pulled up around the building and they let me out. I put on my veil & then the tears started to roll. I was so nervous! My sister walked down the grass to our arch way---She looked amazing! Zymora walked down to Uncle Dom---She was so proud to be a flower girl. Then My mom and I went. I got to the top of the pathway and I saw him and my heart melted just like the first night I hung out with him. He was so handsome! We wrote our own vows---I had to go first. I cried through the whole thing. Then he read his---He blew mine out of the water---he is an amazing writer! You may kiss the bride!!! Yaya! Walking up to the hall----I kept saying, " Monkey, Can you believe we did it!" We ate dinner, danced our first dance, visited & packed the car. We went home and talked to PJ and Packed for Mexico! We couldn't have asked for a better day!

Words Can't Explain.

Words can't explain how grateful I am to have my two boys in my life.

Cap is truly the smartest man I have grown to know. He has decided to run an office in our local government. My husband is a "go getter", when he decides he is going to do something he goes headfirst and full speed ahead.

He ran for our districts city council seat. I helped him go door to door getting his name out to our neighbors.

HE WON!!

not to shabby for the family that only lived in town for less than six months.

WOOT! Congratulations Cap!
