The Proposal

09.27.2006: It was my 21st birthday on the 17th and Dominic surprised me with the best birthday gift ever. Front row tickets to a New York Yankees game. He had told me in the weeks prior that he was going to take me away and that he would tell me what to pack. So I got a list---Sewing machine, towel, clothes, Yankees Hat, & Sun Block. Once I got my birthday gift I knew where we were going. We got up early and left Vermont at 6 am. We were in NYC at 10:30. So we had the whole day ahead of us. We checked in to our hotel in the Bronx. I was exhausted so I napped before the game. Dominic wanted to walk and I wasn't about to walk in the Bronx--Hell NO! So I made him drive to the stadium. We got a bite to eat and sat in our seats! Amazing Seats! I had to go to the bathroom--He wouldn't let me out of his sight in the city so he walked me up. When we got back to our seats I started talking to the 6 year old boy next to me. I asked him why he loved the Yankees? He told me his dad did. Dominic had put his arm around me and asked me for a kiss.... Once that happened. He asked me if I liked his ring.... He showed me the diamond on his hand.... He asked me if I would marry him? I started to cry and said yes!!! We kissed and the Crowd went wild!!! The Yankees had just hit a home run and were winning! It was amazing! Dominic said they were cheering for us! My ring was beautiful it sparkled!!! Although he told me that I had a choice of rings. The one that he used or the one that he had specially made for me but wouldn't be in for another couple of weeks. He knew he wanted to ask me there so He got a spare from his friend to use. It's nice having a friend in the diamond business. So I Loved the one he had made for me. Its absolutely beautiful! As beautiful as the way he proposed! It was truly a home run!

Our Wedding Day

09.01.2007: It was a beautiful September day in Vermont. Not to cold and not to hot. It was breezy and the sun was shining. Our wedding was held at Memorial Hall. Which is located on Mirror Lake in North Calais. We wanted to keep our wedding small. Dominic would have preferred to elope. I wanted my day in the beautiful white dress. So I tried to keep things fun and laid back. The Ceremony was at 3pm. I was 15 minutes late. My mom and "step" dad drove me in the 1951 Ford classic and I guess it took longer than expected to get there. Once we arrived everyone was seated and people were waving. We pulled up around the building and they let me out. I put on my veil & then the tears started to roll. I was so nervous! My sister walked down the grass to our arch way---She looked amazing! Zymora walked down to Uncle Dom---She was so proud to be a flower girl. Then My mom and I went. I got to the top of the pathway and I saw him and my heart melted just like the first night I hung out with him. He was so handsome! We wrote our own vows---I had to go first. I cried through the whole thing. Then he read his---He blew mine out of the water---he is an amazing writer! You may kiss the bride!!! Yaya! Walking up to the hall----I kept saying, " Monkey, Can you believe we did it!" We ate dinner, danced our first dance, visited & packed the car. We went home and talked to PJ and Packed for Mexico! We couldn't have asked for a better day!

<3

THE LOVE OF THESE BOYS IS ALL I NEED!

ACCEPTANCE AND RANDOMNESS

We the E's made an offer on the charming house at the end of the dead end street. It was only a few hours before we got the call that the seller ACCEPTED our offer. We went into the office to fill out the final offer paperwork. The inspection is in order for tomorrow at 9am. I can't help but be completely beside myself and second guessing our decision. I'm scared to death--this is the first HUGE purchase that we have ever made as a married couple other than our Hummer. At the same time I'm overjoyed by the experience. I <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis-Oxx9gErM-gDSJMdtAGJA85xAsBJ8J78_NshaNx-xN1ypi4Q96DYGA-nciziWwwgXdlW2KMhZeLawABuMqcl5boJ5-b08gmkGDxnl9wqhB02CfzncmNpWxOOGtTXXoHT5yoczSJAyy4/s1600-h/pictures1+009.jpg">
Doc and I have a love for grenades. I saw this soap and had to get it for him! And of course in Army Green!

Who doesn't love a Popsicle on a hot day? I saw these at Capital Kitchen and had to get them for my popsicle loving husband.

SALE: $50K off

I frequent real estate sites just browsing. I love looking to see what is for sale and how outrageous some of the prices are on some of the homes and realizing how much money you would have to put into the home in most cases to bring it up to date and code.

I saw this particular home last September but it was well over the amount that we wanted to spend and then on top updating the home. While updating my page I watched the house drop $50K. I couldn't believe it! I immediately picked up the phone and called the Realtor to find out if it was a mistake. It was not! The seller dropped the price to get it off his hands before the next winter comes. It was his parents home and he doesn't want the extra lawn to mow this summer.

This house stole my heart.

I love that huge front yard. It's the last house on a dead end street which js a HUGE bonus. Oh those construction markers are for a drain that the city is currently working on. This will be Doc's second home. It is all ready for a wood stove:0)The side yard fit for a brick patio and a chaise chair. There is a brook down into the woods a bit and it's all you can hear. It is BEYOND peaceful in this yard. This is my favorite room in the house. A formal Foyer! I love that front door and gorgeous hardwood floor. Oh and I love the stairway. If it was my home I would change the lighting fixture.
This is the living room. Again I love the hardwood floors. There is lighting over the windows. Its a nice added lighting source in this room. This is the kitchen. If we were to purchase this home we would gut the kitchen and start over! Oh and remove that fucking ugly chair! I do love that this room has the original linoleum floors and the 1950's white metal cabinets that are in perfect condition. This room would be a FUN project! Of all the rooms in the house its the bedrooms that I dislike. It must be the faux painting and floral border. GAG! But I do love those hardwood floors and that would be all I love in this room.

All in ALL I love <3 this house.

I know God has been so good at providing for us. Continuing to put a roof over our heads. The odd thing was I prayed for this particular house that morning. Oddly enough I watched it with my own eyes. We'll be making a decision on this home in the next week or so.

Bedrest sucks!

That's right bedrest is the pitts!

On May 8, 2009 I was scheduled to have a pilonidal cyst removed out of my butt crack. I know, your thinking gross. But for me I'm thinking just how fucking painful it is . I was at the point where I didn't want to go the movies because half way through I would be so uncomfortable that I was half tempted to get up and leave. Instead I spent the second half moving every few minutes to try and regain comfort to no avail. Car rides over two hours required multiple stops so I could get up and walk and take the pressure of my tailbone.

May 8 came and I went in for surgery. The nurse blew my first IV not making me overly happy. I'm not a fan of IV's the thought of a fish line in my hand kind of bothers me. My surgeon, Dr. Z came in to see me in the pacu before I was wheeled into the operating room. I don't remember anything until I woke up in the recovery area of the pacu. Dr. Z was in the recovery room when I woke up from the sedation. He told me that I didn't have just one cyst but instead two were removed. He also told that what we discussed about the small incision on the inside of my butt cheek wasn't what he acutally had to do to remove them. I ended up with three incisions and one being 4 inches in length.

I'll sum it up. The recovery is HELL! Painful? Most definately Yes! I orginally had the weekend + monday after my surgery off from work. I went back to work for a half day on Tuesday and drove home in tears because I was in so much pain. Wednesday was the same thing only this time I thought I could vomit because the vicoden and ibprophen they had me on wasn't touching the pain. I ended up back at Dr.Z's office in tears. He immediately wrote me a note to be on a limited bed rest until May 21. I was ordered to the couch and bed staying off my butt/back as much as possible and being semi comfortable. The only way for me to be comfortable was to have constant hot/cold packs on my incision area. Dr. Z was wonderful he called me on Friday to see how I was doing.

Wednesday May 21 comes and I go to have my stitches out. Dr. Z looks and I'm ribbed a stitch out of the top incision so it looks like it has not healed correctly. Once he looked closer my body has been rejecting the stitches and started to grow away from them and then in one area right up and over them. Getting my stitches out was a BITCH! I've never been in so much pain. I left with a huge hole in my butt crack that we are to keep an eye on to make sure there is no infection. I left the hospital with tears running down my face because it hurt so bad.

May 22: Back to work. I still can't sit comfortably so instead I stood at my desk all day. Left an hour early.

Which brings us to Today. Back to see Dr.Z because Doc changed my dressing this morning only to have brown/dark yellow drainage a sure sign of infection coming from my open wound. My Boss sent me home. Dr. Z told me to remain home from work laying low. Dr.Z is concerned that he will need to split my incision and wick it to drain the infection. I'm not looking forward to anything like this taking place. I just want to be healed and back to work.

I'm SICK of being sick!

I was robbed.

Not only was today Mother's day but today was my due date for Baby E.

I'm bitter. Real bitter. The kind of bitter that gives you a sour taste in your mouth.

I know that God has a plan for D and I but I feel robbed. The loss of our child consumed me this afternoon. I wanted to scream but that wasn't an option D was doing homework. Instead I slept the afternoon away with the help of my pain medicine from Friday's surgery. It worked as a good coping mechanism.

Now that I'm awake---I again feel like someone stole something from me that I may never be able to experience.

It's the saddest feeling to have on this day of all days.

Tonight I'll go to bed knowing that I am a mother. a sad mother.

Oh, wait. I have Wallace that acts like a four year old. He takes on the best role of our child. He is our child! A fantastic boy at that. He wakes me up at 2am to go out. With him here it makes the feeling a little better. I can't help but think it's just not the same.

4 LETTER WORD

WORK.

This four letter word has taken over my life. TAKEN. Okay, perhaps willingly. Taken just the same. Since last Monday I have worked seven straight days. 73 1/2 hours. 40 hours for my credit union job. The other 33 1/2 hours for the hospital in/out registration patient area.

The willingness of giving my time to both of these places is so nice. Not many people can actually say they love their job(s). I CAN. I honestly love them. I love the people that I work with minus 1 one. That particular co-irker could be devoted to an entire entry. There is something about the both jobs that keeps me getting up and going to these places each day. The CU I love the members--they are absolutely fantastic. The patients at the hospital are wonderful. My heart aches for most of the people I see but helping them is what makes me happy.

SLEEP.

Or the lack of is the most frustrating of all. I get home and it seems like it is time to get up and go again. I fell asleep on the couch this afternoon while eating my lunch. Doc told me that I was so tired that I was snoring. The sad part I had to get up to shower to go back into work. ha!

MISS.

There are some things that I miss terribly when I work all kinds of hours. I miss spending time with Doc and Wallace is limited but greatly adored. I miss dinner time. I miss sleeping in and cuddling my boys. I miss bath time at night. And I miss doing what I want.

WHY?

Why am I working all the CRAZY hours? Well, we are saving up for the downpayment on our condo, paying off my car and considering purchasing new furniture. It all takes money. Plus, I took the job at the hospital for the experience and placement on my resume. My husband is a nurse at an administrative level. We could move any where for him to get a "better" job. Which is great for him--he deserves it. I on the other hand need the experience of the hospital life so I too can get a J-O-B.

Oh well---It's one of those things that is not going going to go away for a very long time. I will need to WORK to survive. And these days it is all about survival.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

There is so much going through my head right now about the nonreligious meaning of Easter. The more I think about the more annoyed I get about it.

Could it be that I'm bitter?

I can't help but think of the reference of "bunnies" and "eggs". Let's face it I've been working 70 hours a week and the last thing that is happening as of now is Doc and I screwing like bunnies. Or that face that I have a cyst on my right ovary and currently I'm not ovulating. I'm back on my nuvaring for a couple of reasons. The hope to get rid of the cyst that is currently residing on the premises of my open hotel. And there is that underlying factor that Doc is currently going to grad school. Oh and the fact that we still have not purchased our condo or purchased our Ikea home.

I'm not bitter, I'm just annoyed.

Doc and I didn't do anything for Easter. He bought me new Dansko clogs and I got him a new pair of Dr. Martens. Poor Walls just got his bed washed. We didn't attend Easter dinner with family, we didn't cook a fancy meal and we didn't go to a church service.

The only thing I can say is I enjoyed my weekend with my husband and our handsome baby boy Walls!

Shampoo Heaven.

I went last week Tuesday and got my beyond desperate hair highlighted, cut and of course styled. Do you think I remembered to take a picture after departing the salon. Nope.

Well life has been more than busy here.

While at the salon I had the best shampooing experience ever. She used Pureology Nanoworks on my hair and lets just say its worth all $150 of it. I ran home to tell Doc about how wonderful it made my hair shine, bounce and well gave it life again. Okay maybe it was that my hair hasn't been touched by a professional since last August. But I begged Doc to find me the shampoo. Yesterday he ordered me the shampoo and conditioner. Bless him! ha! $150 in shampoo for $46.01 on ebay. I love how he loves finding a bargain. That is a savings of $103.99 AMAZING! I can't wait to get it in the mail sometime next week.

Of course I'll post before and after pictures and show you the difference. My plan is to catch up on my blog. It's been far to long!

Skiing on Valentines Day.

I'll start with WHAT AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!! We had our friends Casey and Anton come to stay with us for the Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend. I worked until 8pm on Friday night then I went and did a little Valentine shopping for Doc. I felt like I should get him a thing or two for being such a great husband. I ended up picking him up a gift card to Game Stop and a cute card.

Casey and Anton didn't get to our house until 4am. Luckily we went to bed around 11pm and just woke up when they called to let us know that they were getting off the highway. We all went to bed and got up about 7 am to get ready for our day of skiing at Smugglers Notch. We all rode in Anton's wrangler. I couldn't figure out why my feet were freezing but once we got to the mountain I realized that he didn't put his "plugs" in the floor so there was cold air coming up from the floor. WOW, cold! Once at the mountain we had to wait in line forever to get our lift tickets and for me to rent snowboard equipment. Once all fitted and ready to go we got in the lift line. I thought we would get off at the half way point on Morse Mountain. I was wrong! First time snowboarding in six years ---I want to the top! Holy Crap--I fell getting off the lift. I didn't do half bad. There were a few tumbles here and there. Then I got feeling pretty comfortable being back on the mountain and I took one hell of a fall. I was slowing down when a lady came up beside me--her ski hit the edge of my board and I biffed it through the air and landed six feet away from where she hit me.... HEAD FIRST! Falling knocked the wind out of me and also left me with a puffed up lip and a swollen cheek that didn't look overly pretty. But I got back up and continued through the day just stopping for lunch which was awesome. During lunch I had a Peppermint Patty Hot chocolate to boost my confidence. Peppermint schnapps + hot chocolate + a helmet=GREAT SNOWBOARING! We went up Madonna Mountain with Casey and Anton once I felt comfortable enough to leave the "bunny hill" mountain. It was awesome. The view was one of a kind. Look how gorgeous it was!

It was so nice to be able to do something with Doc that we both enjoy. This was our first weekend on the mountain together. I thought it was really cute when he told me that it was a complete turn on to see me outside being totally active and confident. I guess getting married turned me into an old lady. Here are a few pictures of our day at Smuggs.

We went to the Vermont Pub and Brewery for a Valentines dinner. It was a great meal and we got a chance to just relax and laugh. It was so nice because this was the first time we were able to do this type of thing with a couple that we really enjoy in a really long time! It was perfect!

Because I enjoyed myself so much. I went and bought myself a snowboard, boots, helmet, a new Snowboard Jacket and a snowboard bag. I have my own gear. We even plan on buying season passes to Sugarbush or Jay Peak for the 2009-2010 season! We had plans to go skiing this last Sunday but I got sick so we couldn't go. But, I can't wait to do it again!

I WON.

I can't freaking believe. I mean seriously. I AM THE GIRL WITH ZERO LUCK!

But I actually won $200 on a football pool. My lucky numbers were 7 & 7.

Entry fee was $20. I could have won $400 but there was 6 score changes in the 2nd quarter. Which brought my winnings down to $200. The greedy side of me can't help but feel slightly robbed. But the other side of me is SO excited to have actually won something!

What should I do with it? I mean $200 that is AWESOME. I mean of course I should be saving it. but I can't help but want to just spend it! And here are the things I want to buy.

Duvet Cover: Ikea 30.94 with shipping on Ebay.... Bought!

My Favorite Passage from the bible: Etsy.com Purchase $7.95

This is a Leach hook.... I'm thinking the pretty Lime Green and Only for $6.80. I might even get the Orange and a blue too so Wally has a spot to hang his leash, Mommy her keys and Daddy his keys for the Hummer

Sweet Lady Jane came in today at work with this lovely pink pashmina scarf on and I just wanted to grab it and run. It is the prettiest pink in person. Just stunning, I tell you.

I can't find ONE word to explain my husband. But this sweater kind of explains it all... He has a love for argyle socks and he loves sweaters in the winter. And well... I think he will be ultra SEXY in this particular sweater. Happy Valentines Day Doc!
$34.99. God I love Ebay!

I really Love this Hotsling for the non-existent child as of yet. There is no E child in this womb. No Child to go in said sling. But you can't beat the price of $29.99 and free shipping. 15.5 HOURS.

I worked 15.5 hours today because my two jobs. I'm freaking crazy. Seriously. 12 maybe but 15 I'm not beyond tired. Border line way overtired. I'm going to have some serious baggage under my eyes tomorrow morning.

It wasn't a slow day for me today. I was out straight at the credit union today. I didn't get a chance to run for lunch under 15 past 1. I usually eat between 11:50 and 12:10. Needless to say I was BEYOND starving. Once I finished up at the credit union I clocked in upstairs in registration.

The hospital was a hopping place this evening. We ended up on a full lock down at 7pm. Apparently someone threatened to steal a newborn. No ladies-as much as I want a baby-It was not me. It was a complete ZOO. The emergency was out of control, the phones were out straight and my patience ended up shot by the end of my shift.

One great thing happened tonight. Doc just surprised me with a new ring tone for my Sparkly new Blackberry which I have yet to really post about. I will tomorrow when I am far less tired and have a partial brain. My new ring tone is from the Pixar movie Wall-e.

Goodnight. Off to bed with my favorite snugglable babies. Doc and Wally. I love you boys!

Monday-Sunday.

Monday.
Happy Birthday to the best husband a girl could ask for. Doc celebrated his 32nd birthday. I bought him a Suunto wrist computer better known as a watch. Also I took him out on a date on Sunday afternoon. We went out for a late lunch at the Texas Roadhouse. I got the pulled pork dinner which was delicious. I sipped on a Jamaican Cowboy which I love. Doc has a margarita and of course the ribs and pulled pork. This marked our second time eating here and it was great yet again. We went and watched Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood. I baked my Doc chocolate cupcakes with Strawberry frosting because it was impossible to find cherry frosting in the stores. Lets face it I don't have the supplies to make frosting at home... maybe next year. Considering I only bake for his birthday. Monday night I let Doc pick where he wanted to go out to eat because he has studying to be done. We just went to Pizza Hut and had the all natural. It wasn't bad. Although I did lose my mittens sometime Monday which I am still a little more than upset about. I got a great deal on a mirror yesterday at the Christmas Tree Shop so I finally have something to put my initial E on so I worked and completed that tonight. Now I just need to have Doc pick up the hardware to hang it in the hallway. Perhaps a weekend project?

Tuesday.
Work was interesting--C is back at work she has been out for three weeks on medical leave. Things were really nice while she was out. Our office flowed really nicely. S and I get along really well and I love just helping her out. When C is there it throws the balance off. I find myself doing a lot more work with another set of hands there. It's funny how that works. I started picking up a lot more duties that I had never done before and I think I'm handling the stress of that really well. I love the challenge that it has brought me. I really hope that I will get a promotion before long.

Wednesday.
Up and out early---Wanted to be the first one to office today to get things rolling. I had a desk full of paperwork that I really wanted to get behind me. Which I did within the first couple of hours. Doc is studying every night so I've been trying to stay out of his way. I worked per diam for the hospital as soon as I got done my daytime job. I love working up there. The girls I work with are so much fun and it makes that night go by so quickly. We were busy with physic impatient admissions. With the low pressure system rolling through we had our far share of woman going into the Woman's and Children's Unit for observation to rule out labor. I got home about 9:30 just in time to settle on the couch with Doc to watch Top Chef. Then it was off to bed.

Thursday.
Walls woke me up at 3:30 to go out to the bathroom. It was so cold outside. We hustled back to the house and back to bed. I woke up at 6:35 to shower and get ready for my day. I love that I don't have to run outside to start the car its just the push of a button. Doc and I got out to the hummer and it was 10 below zero. We both griped about how we hate the cold and should move south. We'll see we ever do that. Kissed Doc as he stopped the car I jumped out and off to work I went watching him drive down the hill to his office. Got in only to find that we were a little cooler than normal in our office. I turned the heat up! Busy day at work. Again worked upstairs in Registration after getting done at the CU. It was another fun night. Although I got out at 7pm because Doc picked me up and didn't want to have to go back out in the cold later on. I picked up the house and finished my first book of the year. Hooray--now that's huge for me! Only 24 more books to go for me to be at my goal.

Friday.
WOW was it cold this morning. As we drove to work I noticed that the car was reading 27 below zero. WTF? I hate Vermont. I'm so bloody sick of this cold weather. The snow is beautiful but I think we could just drive up for a weekend to ski rather than living here year round. Later on in the morning I got an email from Doc it was house listings for Hawaii. He's so cute! We both spent part of day actively searching for a spot to vacation in April. Doc picked me up at work and we were off to get his haircut. When we got there someone else was in the chair. Doc hates when the hairdresser isn't ready for him. His patience is really a zero. I was already annoyed there was a television set up on the salon counter with a bootleg of Twilight playing. So the girl got out of the chair and sat down with in another. I stood at the door. The entire time that Doc was getting his haircut the girl that was there before us and her friend sat there watching this movie while I stood waiting for his haircut to be complete. It was such an unprofessional setup; I was so mad when we left. We got a sub and shared it for dinner.

Saturday.
I slept in until 9:30. We went out to breakfast at the Wayside. I ordered 2 pancakes, 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices of bacon and 2 slices of rye toast. Doc ordered 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices of rye toast, corn beef hash and home fries along with French toast. We waited for 35 minutes before we got our food. Both of meals were cold. Doc stopped the waitress and told her and she said well I would be happy to nuke your meals for you. Doc politely told her no and that we would be happy to take our check for our drinks. She declined and we left. We ended up at McDonald's eating quarter pounders and vanilla shakes. Once we got home Doc studied and I did laundry. I then sat my butt in my computer check and hung out on the computer :0)

Sunday.
Today isn't much different than yesterday. Only today I haven't left the house other than to take the dog outside to go to the bathroom. I took 2 showers because one of my showers involved a very moldy towel...yuck! I then continued doing laundry, folding and even putting it away. We finally have a dining room table again. Doc thinks thats a huge improvement. He will no longer have to get dressed in the living room. I watched 3 hours worth of Moving up. I love TLC folks! I am about to go watch Toddlers and Tiaras for the first time. I can't wait to see this... it takes a very scary class of people to put these children through all that! Oh and this morning I woke up this bite on my face that isn't very pretty and hurts like hell so I've taken 2 doses of benedryl to calm that hot mess down!

More tomorrow. I've vowed to this blog that I will update more than once a month ;)

Family Planning Dumped.

We had a family planning "TALK" today. We're both hoping that I'm not currently knocked the fuck up. For many reasons at this very point 1. Work schedules (my job currently doesn't offer short term disability) 2. Doc is in Grad school 3. I want to go back to school 4. We want our house squared away 5. Need to have one less car payment to be able to afford daycare.

Your now probably wondering what changed between September and now. Back in September we were thinking of moving south and purchasing a much cheaper home or just traveling. Traveling nurses do not have to pay for room or board. Yes we would be moving every 13-26 weeks but with a baby it wouldn't be too bad. Doc wasn't in Grad school and could adjust his schedule to work different hours. I wasn't really thinking of going back to school to finish my degree. The closer I get to being promoted in my current job. The importance of finishing my school is becoming clearer and clearer.

People say that you make adjustments to care and afford a child but our life would be some much easier if we just waited two years. My car would be paid off that would be $300 extra every month that we would be able to put into savings for that said child. We wouldn't have a brand new mortgage that we were facing we will have been paying on it for a couple of years.

We were ultimately rushing to have a baby because we were not sure if infertility would play an issue with the medications that Doc is on. But we got good news on Monday that it does not look like that will be the case. Perfect--we can slow down and wait. That means if AF shows her beautiful face I will start my nuva ring and I can relax and be the wife I want to be be. Maybe I'm just getting cold feet in fear demise or maybe Doc is I mean he does turn 32 tomorrow.

2 Years....WHAT?

Doc started his grad school work today. OMG. Bitchy husband.

I made a deal with myself-Yes myself that I was going to keep the house cleaner and cook dinner more often. So I did the dinner thing tonight. I cooked a pot roast. I got a thank you out of him.

The night has just gotten worse since 5:30. He swapped my monitor with this huge old TV types...It didn't even allow my keyboard to sit on my desk let alone let me mouse move. So I said I think I'm going to have to readjust this. So he way of handling the situation was to come over unplug the monitor and toss it into the closet where it made some NOT SO COOL sounds. He then walked over and hooked the flat screen monitor that I originally had. What am I going to do with a broken down piece of shit monitor? Doc seriously! I proceeded to continue my search online of different odds and ends. I suddenly came across tile tattoos... how AWESOME! I seriously hate the rose colored tiles in our bathroom. I think these were an answer to my prayers! I can actually redo the bathroom without huge construction like ripping down around our tub. I asked Doc if he wanted to see them and he jumped down my throat that he was working on his first assignment and didn't have time. Two years of Grad school--I think I might just pull my hair out at this rate!

I think I need to start working more! Oh yes, if only we could find time to put a new battery in my car so I could drive it to and from work. That was supposed to happen last Saturday maybe I can get it done tomorrow night. Maybe once I figure out why I never got a new AAA card in the mail, I'll just call for road assistance for them to come help me.

Seriously, my day really sucked. ONE good thing happened today when Doc picked me up from work. I jumped into the Hummer and we started talking all of a sudden something licked my ear. Wallace picked me up at work!!! I love getting to see my furbaby that was a great GREAT surprise! He was so excited to see his mommy!

Great Finds on Our Shopping Trip.

Yesterday Doc and I went shopping in Burlington because we wanted to go see the Punisher movie. Every other movie we see at the theater is the others pick. So Doc's pick was the Punisher. Once we got to the Majestic 10, we drove past to see if it was playing it wasn't--bummer. His choices were Bedtime Stories, Yes Man, 7 lbs., Benjamin Button, The Tales of Despereaux, Valkryrie, The Spirit and Marley and Me. We watched Marley and Me on Christmas which I will get into later on. We decided we would go watch 7 Ibs at 4:30. It was only 11:50 so we needed to find something to do. We ventured over to South Burlington to Eastern Mountain Sports which is one of our all time favorite stores. I found a great tech wick zip up shirt in white... oh course it was a size large---too big but not too big with a bump. Sadly, my bump doesn't exist. So I needed to find a medium if I had any intention of purchasing. So I hunted to store---I found one on a store model---Checked the tag sure enough it was my size. I started to de-robe the lady right there! Leaving her with pants and vest which managed to cover up her fake boobs. Doc found ski pants that were 50% off---SCORE! We left and went over to play it again Sports and Sally Beauty Supplies. Doc was looking for a pair of used skis for me. I'm not purchasing new skis for the maybe 3 times I venture to the mountain. He didn't find any in my size but thats alright. We'll go back in a couple of weekends to look again. I went into Sally's and picked up some new nail polish. Now if I could only find the energy to paint them :0)For Audrey~Spontaneous~Orange knockout

We ate the Texas Roadhouse for the first time. Great service, food and atmosphere--You can't ask for anything better than that. The prices were really reasonable also. We finished up with driving to Colchester to Costco's in attempts to find Doc a watch for his birthday which is just around the corner--January 12. I ended up getting him a Suunto "wrist computer" which he is just tickled pink about. I caved and let him start wearing it almost immediately. No surprises in this house. I will pick him up a gift card or something to go along with it to give him on his actual birthday. Along with dinner and baking him a cake. We went and looked at digital picture frames as I have been wanting one for well over a year. Back a year ago they were so expensive but the perfect size. Now I can only find ones that are 10x12 or 8x14---way to big for my desk. As we were walking away Doc spotted a 2-pack nicely tucked back behind a box of other DF's. A great find... A 2-pack of 5" digital frames for 89.99--We snatched those up. So we both can have one for work. So So exciting! Here are our other purchases: The Digital Frames, My tech wick shirt, Doc's Ski pants and a mug for him to put pictures in from StarbucksOnce we got home Doc played on the xbox and Wally cuddled up right next to his daddy and wouldn't leave his side. Allowing me to hang out on the computer and add photos to my digital frame :0)

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
I just wanted to share our Christmas cheer with you.
As some know Doc and I have been working some 55-70 hour weeks. Its been a little hectic in our house between work and Wallace getting sick we've had little time to really think about the holidays. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing considering the holidays aren't what they used to be. With the loss of Doc's parents and the chaotic family that I belong to--its easier for us to just the holidays blow over. We celebrated Thanksgiving just the 3 of us and it was great... we did exactly what we wanted. Stayed in our pajamas, ate an early meal and watched a couple of movies. We planned to the same exact thing today for Christmas. However Doc being the manager for his unit at the hospital changed our plans just a bit. I wasn't even done my shopping until yesterday at 4:45. I had to go finish up Doc's stocking and pick his other large gift. I stood in line at Walmart for 1/2 hour... it was CRAZY the number of people that were there. I got the 2nd to last one--Phew! I got home and left the big item in the entryway and ran to the bedroom to stuff his stocking and jump into my pajamas to make it more like Christmas morning. I told him to close his eyes and I carried in his other big gift that I just purchased an hour before. I hung his stocking with festive cheer. Once he opened his eyes he know that Santa had arrived. We opened our stockings and gifts and discussed what we wanted to do for our Christmas dinner... Mexican!!! We went to Julio's for Christmas dinner---it was awesome! We just relaxed and had a great evening. To start Dominic got up and went into work for 6am. I got up cleaned, did laundry and dishes. Once Dom got home--- we've just hung out with Wallace who wouldn't leave his present more than a few feet away from him. We decided that we wanted Chinese for dinner and to go the movies. I'm going to continue to share our Christmas days with you. Santa Wallace trying to get his Daddies attention..
